This is an out and back hike. We’ll start out on the green trail from the parking lot, hook up with the Catoctin trail and head to Hamburg Rd., returning solely on the Catoctin trail. Lunch will be pondside on the way back. There are hills (some steep), one stream crossing and a total ascent of 2300 feet. Please remember to indicate carpool or trailhead when registering. Carpooling is advised as this is a smallish parking lot.
