This out-and-back hike will use the C&O Canal Towpath to travel from Whites Ferry to the Monocacy Aqueduct and then return. THERE IS AN OPTIONAL TURNAROUND AT LOCK 26, WHICH WOULD BE AN 8-8.5 MILE HIKE. The trail is flat with a mixture of sun exposure and shade and occasional views of the Potomac.
