This hike begins at the Cabin Branch Trail on natural surface marked trails, meandering and rolling. There are no water crossings. We will travel at approximately 2.25 mph. We will not break for lunch, you may want to bring a snack if needed.
Loop hike down the Gunpowder South trail and up the Highlands trail for around 800 ft of elevation gain. Enjoy beautiful views of the woodlands surrounding the Gunpowder River. One stream crossing, some rock scrambling.
