We'll be viewing the Patapsco River from ridge lines and the river side as we loop up and around and down again. The views should be great. There are a few 10 foot wide stream crossings and about 1000 ft overall elevation climb. The hiking pace will be 2.25 - 2.5 mph.
Hike begins at the Woodstock Inn Parking lot at 1415 Woodstock Rd, Woodstock, MD 21163. Crossing over the Patapsco river onto the Baltimore County side. There are a few small stream crossings. The trails can be rolling and meandering. The pace will average 2.5 mph. There will not be a lunch break.
Hiking from Providence Road to trail head to pathway to Sam’s Grave and loop Back to main trail. There is one easy stream crossing at the beginning of the hike. Recommended: Hiking poles, with leaves covering rocks and tree roots this time of the year.
