We will hike the Fox and Wolf Trail Loop as we meander through the woods of the 900+ acre Bacon Ridge Natural Area near Crownsville. Local folklore claims that the creek that runs through the heart of the natural area is named Bacon Ridge Branch because there was a hog farm in the center of the natural area over a century ago. PACE: 2.0-2.5 mph DISTANCE: 7 miles ELEVATION: 505' Please bring water, lunch, and trekking poles if desired.
