One of a series of 9 Moderate Plus hikes on the Appalachian Trail across Maryland. An out and back hike of a total of 8.8 miles going south from Wolfsville Road (MD-17) to Pogo Campground. Total elevation gain is 700' with the longest climb of 500' over .5 miles. Pace averages 2.0-2.5 miles per hour. Due to potentially limited parking, carpooling is preferable.
