We will hike a mixture of hiking trails and forest roads as we explore the 3,500+ acre Elk Neck State Forest. The forest is a diverse habitat with mixed deciduous and evergreen trees and an understory of mountain laurel, azaleas, and other native shrubs. The trail is rolling and crosses some streams. PACE: 2.0-2.5 mph DISTANCE: 8 miles ELEVATION: 492' Bring water, lunch, and trekking poles if desired.
