We begin at the Soldier’s Delight visitors center on Deer Park Road. The hikes takes us past the remains of chromium mines that made the area one of the largest chromium producers in the early 19th century. We hike through wooded areas and open fields and see some evidence of the fire that burned portions of the park several years ago. Pace 2.2 - 2.5 mph. Some hilly areas, one stream crossing.
