Jim, Sharon, John And Joan – Hiking In Switzerland

By Jim Koury

Sharon and I went to Switzerland in September, 2016, to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. We (and fellow club members John Breivogel and Joan Marasciulo) went with a tour group and did 7 days of hiking. We’re glad we went as part of a tour, both because the traveling logistics would have been difficult on our own and because our guide really knew the best places to hike. Switzerland’s scenery and terrain were simply magnificent, and we know we wouldn’t have had such a great introduction to them on our own. The tour we took included the villages of Saas-Fee and Grindelwald. Besides providing outstanding hiking opportunities, the villages gave us an authentic slice of Swiss life. The pictures below truly don’t do justice to what we experienced, but they will give you a sense of why we’ll cherish this trip for many, many years to come.
