Hike Report: Woodstock Hike – July 27

Thirty hikers gathered at the St Alphonsus Rodriguez Church in Woodstock Maryland for a 7+ mile trek. We started on a new trail just opened last year through giant trees and lots of Wavy Leaf Basketgress that made the forest look like Oz. The trails were in great shape with a few areas that were getting covered with Johnson grass. We passed an old Chevy Impala that still has the best looking chrome bumpers. Finally, we came out at the old granite quarry that looked very inviting for a swim, but everyone was anxious to get back for some watermelon provided by Rosser and Gabe. Everyone had an enjoyable time on the Woodstock trails.
