This loop hike will follow trails in the southern part of Frederick Municipal Forest, including the Catoctin and Rusted Bug Trails. We will hike north on the Buck Flats Trail, then wind through the trails in the bike maze before continuing south. We'll cross Hamburg Road to the Rusted Bug Trail before looping back toward Hamburg Road. The total ascent will be 1400 feet, including one very long steep climb.
