We will use fire roads, single track trails, and possibly do some bushwhacking to explore a scenic section of Liberty Reservoir in Baltimore County. The hike is an 8 mile lollipop with about 700 ft of elevation gain, and will be led at a pace of 2.25-2.5 mph.
Easy distance with moderate terrain along the Big Gunpowder. We will ramble through the woods, so expect plenty of roots and rocks. After returning to the river (an opt out point), we go upstream for lunch then return along the mostly flat and often muddy river path.
