On February 19, 13 MCM members hiked the first leg of a five-part series to cover the entire length of the Catoctin Trail. This initial 12-mile loop hike started at Gambrill State Park and hiked north on the Catoctin Trail all the way to Hamburg Road. Then we turned around and returned to Gambrill using other trails including the Monarch, Power Line, and Yellow Poplar trails. The weather was sunny, allowing for great views from the Frederick and Middleton overlooks. We’ll continue this hike series through the spring, offering another leg of the series each month.
