We are happy to report the exciting news that the pedestrian bridge repair at Harpers Ferry is moving forward. The heavily traveled bridge was damaged in a train derailment last December. A contractor has been retained, and preparations are underway (purchase/staging of materials, etc.).
CSX is facilitating the repair.
The estimated start date for repair is now May 11, with a projected finish date near the end of July. A shuttle service will be operated if the economy opens before then.
