    This 8-9 mile hike starts at Marriotsville Road parking area next to the railroad tracks, then hikes north towards Sykesville using the River Road Trail and side trails. There will be about 900-1000 feet of ascent.

    We cross Rockbun Park into PVSP and take a combination of trails including Morning Choice , Cascade, Ridge and Garrett's Pass. Lunch near the Swinging Bridge. We take a different route back. Not much inclination, 2 potentially difficult stream crossings. Average pace is 2.5 mph.
