At the MCM picnic on June 11, outgoing president Janine Grossman announced the newly elected leadership team. The newly elected officers are:
President: Bill Saunders
Vice-President : Cliff Garratt
Treasurer: Ray Kirchner
Recording Secretary: Dick Paaby
Councilors: John Barrett, Jody Blatt, Dennis LeCompte
In addition, there have been several other changes in MCM’s volunteer leadership. After nine years of outstanding service as our Director of A.T. Corridor Monitoring, Andy Buttles has stepped down from this position. John Barrett has volunteered to assume Andy’s responsibilities.
After serving as our Outreach Coordinator for three years, Larry Freeman has stepped down, and Jon Hyman has volunteered to accept these duties.
The Mountain Club is fortunate to have so many members who are willing to volunteer their time. It’s our volunteers who make our club such an effective, vibrant organization. Thanks to all of our new volunteers, to those who are leaving their positions, and to all those who continue to serve as MCM volunteers!
